So I got myself one of those iPads and very quickly discovered that holding it is the hardest part of using it.
After looking at many cool but as yet unavailable stands and cases I spent the morning building some to suit my needs.

Yes, I did come up with that name as I wrote it btw.
After a year of pocket camera and iphone4 camera usage the appearance
of dragonflies in the garden prompted me to haul out the macro rig I
built a few years ago (btw, I do mean haul as it weighs a little under
3kg).
Out of habit I tried the iphone camera first, No go. I couldn't trick
the iphone to focus on a tiny thing alone in the foreground instead of
the background foliage despite my best finger contorting methods.
My first try using iTimeLapse on the iphone4. Didn't have a dash mount
so the iphone was stuck in the laces of a shoe and braced with a gps
suction mount & A glasses case.
We all had a random bag of fun on the day.

The shadow of the house in the foreground hightlights the speed of each part nicely and the hills hoist spinning in the neighbours yard is just perfect.
Last Sunday I was keen to time the various stages of casting bronze, So I set up my little Canon A590IS with CHDK plus Ultra intervalometer loaded on the SD card.
The setup was about 20 minutes then 28 minutes until the bronze was poured (the flames of the foam burning are visible in clip at 30 seconds in.
