There's no right way to hold it!

So I got myself one of those iPads and very quickly discovered that holding it is the hardest part of using it.
After looking at many cool but as yet unavailable stands and cases I spent the morning building some to suit my needs.

Behold the iPad standle!
Yes, I did come up with that name as I wrote it btw.

Getting back to the "real camera"

After a year of pocket camera and iphone4 camera usage the appearance
of dragonflies in the garden prompted me to haul out the macro rig I
built a few years ago (btw, I do mean haul as it weighs a little under
3kg).
Out of habit I tried the iphone camera first, No go. I couldn't trick
the iphone to focus on a tiny thing alone in the foreground instead of
the background foliage despite my best finger contorting methods.

So time to get the Real camera out.
First thoughts were. Wow, these things are not intuitive to use and
heavier than I remember. After half an hour assembly and familiarising
myself with the various button/dials and switches to make it go, the
ease that comes with using the right tool for the job arrived.
